It’s been a week now…
… and I’m still walking around with a copy of my first proof.
Admittedly it’s looking a bit worn now thanks to my gorgeous baby niece using it as a baseball bat AND despite the high tech way I have been preserving it - in one of those plastic bags used for apples. .. And yes, like a raving lunatic, I have been grinning wildly as I read extracts on the tube, thinking; ‘This is rather good.’
In fact, if I hadn’t written it, I”d probably buy it!
It was my birthday yesterday and I spent most of the day basking in the joys of getting older, enjoying gifts from friends, whilst knowing I had my favorite ‘gift’ tucked in my smelly bag, amongst the lipstick, hand creams and twenty year old receipts and covered in an overused see-though plastic bag meant for fruit…
Guess what that was then?
